- This new hybrid powertrain uses an eCVT, or electronically controlled continuously variable transmission. It is engineered, designed and produced in-house by Ford in an all-new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility. The eCVT combines power from the engine and electric motor to deliver power to the wheels when you command it. The C-MAX Hybrid is projected to operate electrically up to 62 mph, allowing the electric traction motor to power the vehicle, providing maximum efficiency. It also eliminates the noticeable upshifts and downshifts of conventional transmissions, providing a seamless driving experience.
- Available active park assist uses ultrasonic sensors. Once activated, your C-MAX can virtually parallel park itself with little input from you. When you opt for the Active Park Assist Package, front parking sensors are part of the package. The sensors beep the closer you get to an object. For added convenience, the reverse parking sensors are available as a stand-alone option.
- Both the C-MAX Hybrid and the C-MAX Energi models come equipped with standard AdvanceTrac® with Roll Stability Control™. This system uses gyroscopic sensors that measure both vehicle yaw and roll motion. If you corner too quickly or swerve to avoid an object, RSC automatically applies brake pressure and adjusts engine power to help you keep your vehicle under control. * *Remember that even advanced technology cannot overcome the laws of physics. It's always possible to lose control of a vehicle due to inappropriate driver input for the conditions.
- You'll always know when your car is fully charged and ready to go. When the connector cordis plugged into the C-MAX Energi charge port, located between the driver's door and front wheel well, the port will illuminate into quadrants to indicate its current level of charge. When all four quadrants are illuminated, the vehicle has fully charged.
